@Palazzo FranchettiGrounded Soil is a workshop/performance day with Sónia Vaz Borges, Aderbal Ashogun and a lecture/discussion with Ruth Wilson Gilmore on abolition as emancipation in rehearsal, linking the struggles for liberation and land rights.
"Treading the soft earth" (“Pisar a terra suave”) considers the way we walk, the marks and traces we leave on the ecosystems and ecologies of the earth, and the struggles we wage here. This workshop aims to explore the garden from the deep soil, decolonizing the land from the relationships between 'foreign' human subjectivities (i.e. indigenous peoples, immigrant communities and racialized people) and the land seen as the Other. The aim is to think of the soil/land beyond geographical limits, incorporating its element of resistance and as a fugitive guide.
"Treading the soft earth" (“Pisar a terra suave”) is a way of thinking about the way we walk and the marks and traces we leave on the ecosystem and ecology of the earth and the struggles we wage here. This workshop aims to explore the garden from the deep soil, decolonising the land from the relationships between ‘foreign’ human subjectivities (i.e. indigenous peoples, immigrant communities and racialised people) and the land seen as the Other. With this workshop and based on the notion of the soil as an active agent of history, as conceptualised by Amílcar Cabral, the aim is to think of the soil/land from a perspective of necessity and to transfer the understanding of it from the political, capitalist and raw material fields, and to bring it into a conversation as sacred, migrant and fugitive. To scientifically substantiate these practices and concepts. The aim is to think of the soil/land beyond its geographical limits, incorporating its element of resistance and as a fugitive guide. In this process of thinking about the soft earth, it remains to think about the future of GREENHOUSE. What has happened, what is happening and what could happen. To this end, Sónia Vaz Borges invites Aderbal Ashogun for a workshop/performance day, and Ruth Wilson Gilmore for a lecture/discussion on abolitionism and emancipation in rehearsal, thus linking the struggles for liberation and land rights.

Grounded Soil é um workshop/ performance de um dia com Sónia Vaz Borges e Aderbal Ashogun, e uma palestra/discussão com Ruth Wilson Gilmore sobre a abolição como emancipação em ensaio, ligando assim as lutas pela libertação, e os direitos da terra.

Este workshop pretende explorar o jardim a partir do solo profundo, descolonizando a terra a partir das relações entre as subjetividades ‘estrangeiras’ humanas (i.e. povos indígenas, comunidades de imigrantes e pessoas racializadas) e a terra vista como o Outro. Pretende-se pensar o solo/terra para além dos limites geográficos, incorporando este o seu elemento de resistência e de guia fugitivo.

Fundamentar cientificamente estas práticas e conceitos. Pretende-se pensar o solo/terra para além dos limites geográficos, incorporando este o seu elemento de resistência e de guia fugitivo. Neste processo de pensar a terra suave resta pensar sobre o futuro da GREENHOUSE. O que nele aconteceu e acontece e poderá acontecer. Para este fim, Sónia Vaz Borges, convida Aderbal Ashogun para um dia de workshop/performance, e Ruth Wilson Gilmore para uma palestra/discussão sobre a abolicionismo e emancipação em ensaio, ligando assim as lutas pela libertação, e os direitos da terra.
